Facebook account recovery services, sorted by the lockout you actually have
A diagnosis note for people locked out of their own Facebook account or Page. Help pages and Meta plan pages were read on November 5, 2026.
Facebook account recovery services can add only what your lockout leaves open. A hacked account, an identity check, lost contact details, a lost business portfolio and a suspension each run through a different free Meta route. Facebook gives 180 days to appeal a suspension, and no outside party can override Meta's decision.
You opened Facebook and could not get in: which lockout is this?
Read the screen before hiring anyone, because five failures look alike from outside and each opens a different free Meta route.
A stolen password, an identity check, a dead recovery email, a lost business portfolio and a suspension notice all reach the same sentence: I cannot get in. Facebook recovery services, meaning firms or individuals paid to read a case and draft its filing, add a different amount on each row below. Where a paperwork gap remains, that gap is the only thing worth paying for.
Account Recovery Service is an independent case-review service with no tie to Meta, and it sorts every Facebook case into one of these rows before it says anything about help.
Hacked
- Symptom
- Posts you did not write, or a password or email you never changed.
- First check
- facebook.com/hacked on a device you have logged in with before, plus any reversal link in your old inbox.
- We need
- The date you noticed, security emails and screenshots. Never the password.
Locked at a checkpoint
- Symptom
- A locked-account message, a Get started prompt or a request to confirm your identity.
- First check
- The on-screen steps. Late codes: check spam, and wait a day after several requests.
- We need
- The exact wording on screen and which ID types you hold. The ID itself goes to Meta.
Forgotten password, lost email or phone
- Symptom
- The reset goes to an address or number you no longer control.
- First check
- Older contact details, then facebook.com/login/identify on a familiar device.
- We need
- What you tried and what the flow answered.
Business portfolio or Page admin lost
- Symptom
- A Page or portfolio left your access, or nobody still holds full control.
- First check
- Any current full-control admin, then the Page recovery form if the loss is recent.
- We need
- A role map: who held what, since when, plus company records.
Disabled or suspended
- Symptom
- We've suspended your account or We've disabled your account at login.
- First check
- The appeal prompt after login, and the notice date, because the suspension clock is running.
- We need
- A screenshot of the notice and the content it names.
The same notice-first habit runs through how a disabled Instagram case gets read by its notice type and the equivalent reading for TikTok bans.
What can outside help add when someone else took the account?
Very little at the start, because the hacked route is free and has to run on your own hardware.
Facebook's hacked-account article sends people to facebook.com/hacked, on a device previously used to log in where possible. If the account email was changed, Facebook sends a message with a reversal link to the previous address, so the old inbox is the first place to look. Anyone assisting another person gets the same instruction: have that person try the steps on a device they have used before. That line decides what a Facebook hacked recovery service can honestly sell: it cannot run the flow from its own office.
Meta's newsroom post of December 4, 2025 added an optional selfie video to recovery and claims a relative rise of more than 30% in hacked-account recovery success in the US and Canada.
What remains for a Facebook hacked account recovery service is the case file: a dated list of what changed, the security emails. For contrast, hacked and 2FA lockouts on Instagram follow a separate article with different steps, so do not carry Instagram instructions across.
What is a checkpoint asking for, and who can answer it?
It asks you to prove you are the person on the profile, and nobody else can supply that proof.
Locked after a checkpoint
Facebook's locked-account article tells you to select Get started and follow the steps, and warns that it may ask you to confirm your identity. After several requests it advises waiting a day, then checking the right phone or email, the spam folder and blocked messages.
Behind a two-factor screen, the 2FA article lists an order: approve from another logged-in device, enter a recovery code (each works once), then on a computer choose Need another way to authenticate?, Other options and Get more help. Android and mobile web show Having trouble?, while iPhone and iPad show Need help? Facebook may then want a government ID photo, security answers or trusted contacts, and says it typically replies within 1-2 working days. None of this runs on Facebook Lite.
Which ID, and how much of it?
Facebook's ID list accepts one official document (driver's license, national ID card, passport or birth certificate) or two unofficial ones such as a student card, library card or work document, with the name matching the profile. You may physically cover details the review does not need, such as an ID number, before photographing it. Digitally altered images are refused, and extra documents can delay review.
Account Recovery Service limits this row to what a Facebook account unlock service or a Facebook locked unlock service can honestly do: say which document fits and why the last attempt bounced. A Facebook locked account unlock service cannot pass the check for you, and it has no reason to hold a copy of your ID.
Forgotten password, lost email or lost phone
Facebook's lost-contact article starts at facebook.com/hacked even when you are unsure about a hack. Next come older emails and numbers with the country code, then your email provider, then facebook.com/login/identify on a familiar device. You then give new contact details not used on another Facebook account and finish the identity checks.
A Facebook password recovery service has nothing to add to that flow, because the reset belongs to you.
Who can get a lost business portfolio or Page back?
An admin inside the organization can, so the first question is whether one still exists.
Meta's Business Help Center says only people with full control of a portfolio can add people, and its Page article adds that if no one in your organization has full control, you submit a request. Ask former staff and past agencies first.
The Page recovery article calls the recovery form the best fix, usable only if you are logged in and recently lost access. If you cannot log in, it points back to facebook.com/hacked. Once back, review the Page and portfolio and undo changes you did not make.
The slowest case is a Page sitting in someone else's Business Manager. A Facebook post for government and nonprofit teams, dated July 23, 2025, describes a documented release: signer's photo ID, a signed declaration on letterhead and supporting evidence, from a person inside the organization who is a Page admin. It warns of 2 weeks to over 6 months.
What a Facebook business account recovery service delivers
It works around the signature rather than replacing it. Account Recovery Service prepares the role map and the document set, and the admin files. Meta Verified offers no way around this either, because its business page requires being logged into the business Page to subscribe.
How does a suspension differ from a disabled account, and what can Meta Verified change?
A suspension still has an appeal clock, while a disabled account may have no route left.
Facebook's suspension article says you can appeal within 180 days by logging in and following the prompt, and notes the window varies by region. Miss it, or lose the appeal, and the account is permanently disabled with no further review. Meta's enforcement page adds that one severe violation can disable an account, and that a further review can sometimes be requested if you believe Meta erred. Because the suspension appeal can be final, a second reader on the wording is one of the few places preparation may earn its keep.
EU residents have one more door. Appeals Centre Europe's rules cover Facebook decisions from the last six months, charge users no fee at present and describe its decisions as non-binding.
What Meta Verified support can and cannot do
Meta's plan page, read on November 5, 2026, carries a banner saying Meta Verified features are now available in Meta One. Its plans ran from $14.99 to $499.99 a month per profile, and it warns that enhanced support may not reach every subscriber. The support article lists general profile access and security issues, with a requested call on Premium and Max, but promises no recovery. Subscribing requires being logged in, so a person already locked out may be unable to buy it. For how those figures sit beside outside fees, see dated recovery prices from the Instagram side.
Once you know the lockout, do Facebook account recovery services differ by title or fee?
No. Titles describe the seller, and Meta makes the decision whichever name sits on the invoice.
A Facebook recovery specialist, a Facebook account recovery specialist and a Facebook access recovery specialist sell the same preparation as a Facebook account recovery consultant or a Facebook account recovery expert. A Facebook account recovery agency or Facebook account recovery company adds staff, not authority. Professional Facebook recovery, professional Facebook account recovery and professional help to recover Facebook account access should all mean drafting and sequence, stated in writing. A listing for a recover Facebook account service that promises an outcome has overreached.
People also picture a Facebook account recovery team they could phone. The pages read for this note show guided flows, forms and a Meta AI assistant whose login help covers select US and Canadian cases, plus the subscriber call above. None of them offers a line a third party can ring.
The plain reply to can I hire someone to recover my hacked Facebook account is yes, for preparation only. You can hire someone to recover Facebook access in that sense. If you hire someone to recover Facebook account access, weigh one reported risk: SecurityInfoWatch, relaying The Wall Street Journal on November 18, 2022, quoted Meta's spokesman saying that paying for an account recovery service violates its terms. Before you pay to recover Facebook account access, run the free row, then use these checks on any recovery agency before money moves. A page claiming the best Facebook account recovery service gets the same test as every other seller: does it refuse your codes and name the route you would file?
What this service declines
- Any account that is not provably yours: a partner, an ex, an employee or a competitor.
- Takeovers, password cracking, session theft or intercepted codes.
- Buying or transferring accounts, and ban evasion through a new one.
- Your password, 2FA code, backup code or session cookie, even if offered.
Account Recovery Service claims no inside contacts and no way past verification. The Better Business Bureau says only the platform can restore access and lists unsolicited offers, claimed inside contacts and promised outcomes as red flags. If you have already lost money, the FTC warned on August 3, 2026 that scammers buy lists of people already scammed, then ask for a retainer or processing fee.

FAQ: what do readers ask about this topic?
Can I hire someone to recover my hacked Facebook account?
Yes, with limits. The honest answer to can i hire someone to recover my hacked facebook account is that you can pay for preparation, while the recovery itself stays in your hands and Meta's. You go to facebook.com/hacked on a device you have logged in with before, and a helper can organize the timeline, screenshots and wording around that. A facebook hacked recovery service or facebook hacked account recovery service that asks for your login is doing something else, and that request is the sign to walk away. When you hire someone to recover facebook account access, know that a 2022 report quoted Meta's spokesman saying paid recovery services violate its terms. Weigh that risk before paying. To hire someone to recover facebook access safely, keep the password, the codes and the filing with you.
Do Facebook recovery services differ between a specialist, a consultant and an agency?
Not in what they can reach. A facebook recovery specialist, a facebook account recovery specialist and a facebook access recovery specialist all work on your wording and evidence. So does a facebook account recovery consultant or a facebook account recovery expert. A facebook account recovery agency or facebook account recovery company may have more people, and that changes capacity only. None of these titles is a Meta credential, as far as the help pages read for this note show, and none moves a case to a different queue. Ask each seller three things: which official route your lockout uses, who files it and what the deliverable is. A clear reply names the route and says you file. Vetting works the same on any platform, and the title on the page tells you little.
Is there a Facebook account recovery team I can call?
Not one that the help pages read for this note describe for ordinary users. A facebook account recovery team, in practice, means Meta's guided flows, forms and review process, rather than a public phone line. Meta's newsroom post, updated March 19, 2026, says its AI support assistant offers login help starting with select US and Canadian cases. The one call Meta sells is a Meta Verified benefit: Premium and Max subscribers can request one from an agent. That needs an active subscription on an account you can log in to, and the support article promises no recovery. No third party can phone that desk for you. Numbers found in search results or replies deserve suspicion, because the Better Business Bureau lists claimed inside contacts among its red flags.
What does a Facebook locked account unlock service do at an identity check?
It can advise, and only you can answer the check. A facebook locked account unlock service, facebook locked unlock service or facebook account unlock service can read your on-screen wording, tell you which accepted document fits. Facebook accepts one official ID or two unofficial ones, the name must match the profile, and sending more than necessary can delay things. Sensitive details you do not need to show may be physically covered, yet digitally altered images are refused. On the 2FA route, Facebook says it typically replies within 1-2 working days, and identity confirmation is unavailable on Facebook Lite. Send your ID only inside Facebook's own flow. A helper who wants a copy to submit it for you has misread the job, and that copy is one more place your document can leak.
What should a Facebook business account recovery service actually deliver?
A map of roles and a clean document set, filed by an admin inside your business. A facebook business account recovery service cannot sit in the requester's seat. Facebook's July 23, 2025 post for government and nonprofit teams says the person asking for a Page release must belong to the organization and be a Page admin, with photo ID and a signed declaration on letterhead. It warns the process can run from 2 weeks to over 6 months. Start simpler: find anyone with full control, because Meta says only they can add people. If nobody in the organization has it, Meta says to submit a request. Hacked admins use the Page recovery form while logged in. A seller who says it can move a portfolio without your admin is claiming access Meta does not describe.
How can I judge the best Facebook account recovery service?
Test its limits, because this note could verify no neutral ranking of these sellers. A claim to be the best facebook account recovery service is marketing until the seller clears a few checks. Does it refuse your password and codes before you offer them? Does it say Meta's tools are free? Can it name the route for your lockout, and who files? The Better Business Bureau treats promised outcomes, inside contacts, growing fees and payment by gift card or cryptocurrency as warning signs. Professional facebook account recovery should survive those questions in writing, and so should any offer of professional help to recover facebook account access. Professional facebook recovery that dodges them is not worth comparing further. Ignore any offers that arrive soon after a public post about your lockout.
Should I ever pay to recover a Facebook account?
Only after the free route has failed, and only for preparation. Nothing obliges you to pay to recover facebook account access, because Meta's flows cost nothing and the Better Business Bureau says every major platform offers a free route. A recover facebook account service earns a fee when the gap is evidence or wording, such as a final-chance suspension appeal or a business document set. A facebook password recovery service earns nothing, since nobody legitimate needs your password. Account Recovery Service quotes after reviewing the notice and proof that the account is yours, and says so when the free tool is enough. It prepares the filing, you submit it and Meta decides. It offers no guarantee and declines other people's accounts. If a seller has already taken money, the FTC warned in August 2026 about follow-up scammers who ask for a retainer.
